What a great summer!  First trip to Krakow, Poland and amazing experience of opening the art show at the Miodowa Art Gallery, then meeting family and friends, awesome 3 weeks, lots of pictures, videos and aritistic impressions, I will be attaching links for you to visit.
Upon my coming back I have received my book fresh from the printing press, it is now available on Amazon, and book signing events will follow.  Please visit the site, click on pictures, like it, review it, and spread the word about the events in the life of Pavel.  As my daughter Sara always says; Life is Beautiful.

Teacher's Diary in Black & White

Teacher's Diary in Black & White

Pavel Vogler's highly original art combines an endearing comic vision with the darkly surreal. Vogler takes us ona wild ride into the tormented psyche of a teacher with the turbulent soul of an artist. Fasten your seat belts!. Paul Boorstin (2012)

Summer 2012

It's been awhile, I always admire people who keep things going, their blogs are constant, postings appear often, how persistent you have to be to maintain this presence...
I have been toiling on my things, and need to proudly admit that finally what I have always wrote about, dreamt about, and thought it will never realize, finally all those things are happening..
my book is being proofed now and should be published by the end of month of May, in June I will travel to Krakow, Poland, with an exhibit of drawings, my friend Malgosia, a director of an art gallery offered me a spot for a solo show, so hey everybody, come to Krakow, June 15 grand opening and those of you who attended Polish vernissage, you know what I mean by grand opening!
Work at school is also changing for better, new classes to teach, more responsibilities took me back to studying and I am taking UCLA Extension courses to expand my credentials

I am posting some of the drawings which will be part of the exhibit and soon the link to the book will be here as well.

Labor day weekend, last weeks of summer, school just started and I am back with new ideas for the fall. This painting is titled The Sun Goddess, and it is part of the series of the Four Seasons, with 4 symbolic images of nude form. The book is almost done and I keep looking for publisher. 2012 will mark 20 year anniversary of my emigration, it would be nice to come back with a book and exhibit, see if they still remember the old days in the old country...

School

School days are always inspiring? nerve wracking,? interesting, boring? quiet? loud? hillarious? or ...sometimes the days take me back to memories of myself being in school, I remember days when I was sitting in class like a zombie watching fuming teachers; "what do they want from us, leave us alone!", now I look at the student faces and I hear the same cry, cartoon speech bubbles are popping out forming the cloud of everlasting teenage fog of boredom.
I decided to start a comic book diary, a journal of a teacher who struggles with daily chores, I noticed that when i show them my drawings I'm getting some hints of interest, zombies are coming to life, waking up slowly and the energy is up...
